America may have some stupid lawsuits, but New Zealand has a pretty crap justice system as well.

Joe Bloggs is convicted of murdering 5 people. Joe is given a life sentence of 10 years (That's a rather short life). Joe will get parole for good behaviour after 3 years and have to do a few hours of community service.

Yes, we know when people say "Americans" they refer to the citizens from the USA. It's quite incorrect though because it should be something like "United Statians" or "Statians". Yes, it sounds silly but for some countries, it is a literal translation calling someone from the USA.

Here, in Quebec (French part of Canada), we indeed call you Americans, but some call you "états-uniens" (United Statians).

Look at the United Arab Emirates. They are called "Emiratis", not Arabs.

Don't forget, a Canadian can be called an American. A Mexican can also be called an American!
